Return: 14:30 By longtail boat we can reach the
local divesites from Ao Nang in 30 - 45min. They are situated around the
famous limestone islands you can see from the shore. The average depths
range from 10 -18m. The big variety of corals as well as of fishes make these divetrips an
unforgettable experience.
2a) Tourboat: Phi Phi Islands
Departure: 07:40
Return: 17:00 Most divesites are situated around
Koh Phi Phi Ley, the southernmost of the two worldfamous
Phi Phi Islands. They
can be reached from Ao Nang in about 2 1/2 hours and differ widely. In
protected bays, among them
Maya Bay, well known through the film "The Beach", beginners can
improve their skills. Wall and drift dives are popular with more advanced
divers. Koh Bida Nai and Koh Bida Nok, two rocks south of Koh Phi Phi Ley
rank among the most beautiful divesites. The maximum depth here ist about
10 - 25 m, the water, the average temperature all year around is 28 - 30
degrees. Another popular divesite is Hin Bidaa
plateau southeast of Koh Phi Phi.
You can see leopard sharks on almost of every dive. The corals, a.o.huge gorgonian fan corals, anemones, table and fan
corals are still in a good condition.
2b) Tourboat: Superday
Departure: 07:40
Return: 18:00 After about two hours you reach three
of the most beautiful and famous divesites. They lie close together between Ao Nang and Phuket: The
wreck of the carferry "King Cruiser" that sank in 1997 ,
Shark Point and Anemone Reef. On Shark Point and Anemone Reef you will be enthusiastic about the
beautiful softcorals and anemones as well as the vast amount of fishes.
3a) Speed Boat: Phi Phi Islands
Departure: 08:30
Return: ca. 17:00 This trip is a mixture of diving,
snorkeling an sightseeing. After 45min. we reach the first divesite, where
you can go snorkeling or diving. After the dive the boat will take you to
Maya Bay for lunch (famous for the movie "The Beach" with Leonardo di
Caprio). Here you have the chance to discover the area with mask and
snorkel.
After a break of about 45 minutes the
boat will go to the second divesite. Like during the first dive you can
choose to snorkel.
Next the boat will go to Koh Phi Phi
Don where you can spend one hour doing whatever you feel like doing.
On the way back to Ao Nang you will
have another opportunity to snorkel. This time on Bamboo Island known as
the best spot for snorkeling in the entire area.
3b) Speed Boat: Koh Ha Yai
Departure: 08:30
Return: 17:00 Koh Ha consists of six limestone
islands. The biggest one, Koh Ha Yai¸is famous for its
beautiful caves. In the best known, the "Cathedral" you can surface and
admire the dome without torches because enough light is coming in from the
sides.
The average visibility is 25 m, the
maximum depth 30 m.
3c) Speed Boot: Hin Daeng, Hin Muang

Return: 18:00
Hin Muang consists of 5
underwater pinnacles. They drop down to 25 - 50 m. Like on Hin Daeng we find a lot of
soft white and purple corals. You often meet manta rays, giant groupers and moray eels and reefsharks
along the sandbeds. |
